Based on Recycled Tee Circle Scarf by Erin
I used two adult large t-shirts from the bottom hem up to the arm holes. It left me enough fabric to make a cute ruffled top for my niece! I was house sitting (thank you inlaws for not having ANY crafting supplies available) so instead of measuring the strips like Erin said, I made strips of masking tape, cut the tape out, and ended up with exactly the same width every time (just make sure you don't use tape that's too wide!). It took me a little longer to make this since I did not leave the loops very loose, but I like the color balance between them. Instead of using the hem as a loop, I suggest using the hem to tie the loops together since they are not very easy to stretch.
