Based on Quick And Easy Steering Wheel Cover by Jasmine T.
today it was the hottest day ever (at least it felt like this) and when i came to my car after an hour in an air-conditioned train i nearly died because of the sauna my car became and burnt my fingers on that steering wheel!! "a cover must be born" i thought while driving and watching that i don´t touch that much wheel with my fingers...
since i have my car i wanted a steering wheel cover with ears and today it was the day to do it!
oh, and maybe i should take another pic with the whole wheel...
i chose pink leopard fake fur as fabric.
the original how-to says the strip of fabric has to be 4.5in, i divided that measurement and added 1cm seam allowance. i marked the strip on the fabric and drew in the ears with seam allowances. i cut out two of these strips with ears and sewed them together right sides facing, turned over and went on as the how-to says.
ta-da, kitty cat wheel!!! i think i will do some kitty cat ear head rests too, matching with the steering wheel!!

I love it! Do the ears ever get in the way?

I know exactly what you mean about burning your fingers on the steering wheel. Now I just need to find the time to make a cover. Happy
