paper cut tree card
Card making at it easiest can simply be cutting and gluing. For a quick and easy greeting card use a sheet of patterned paper or thin card, then cut a few leaves and a tree trunk, glue on a plain background and bingo! Job done!

  • Step 1

Take a square of white card 13cm by 14cm and carefully tear one edge which becomes the top. Glue this to a turquoise card blank 15cm square.

  • Step 2

Using a patterned paper cut out a simple tree trunk shape and glue to the white card. Then cut by hand leaf shapes of differing sizes. Do not worry if they are not even. Quite a few leaves are needed so just keep cutting.

  • Step 3

Now carefully glue on the leaf shapes around the tree trunk, using just small amounts of glue on the leaves. You can apply glue to the leaves with a toothpick/cocktail stick or needle tool. Work outwards from the trunk gluing leaves on the card. Ensure that some of the the smaller leaf shapes are intermingled with larger leaves.
