Step 1Before you start, make sure the clutch bag is clean. Remove all dirt and oil stains with a clean cloth. Take off any additional detailing, such as straps or inner pouches.

Step 2Create the first row of a zig-zag pattern on the front of the clutch bag using masking tape.

Step 3Repeat the same pattern on the back and sides.

Step 4Cover your work surface with scrap paper. Begin painting the unmasked area in acrylic paint, alternating in shades of black and white. Repeat the pattern on the sides.

Step 5Leave the paint to dry, then paint the back of the clutch. When dry, apply a second layer of paint to the front and sides. Leave to dry before painting a second layer on the back.

Step 6Once the paint is fully dry, carefully remove the masking tape. Reattach the straps and inner pouch, if required. Your clutch bag is ready!
