  Step 1

  Chose a collored square piece of paper, and fold on the diagonals...

  Step 2

  ... like this

  Appearence after step "2"

  Step 4

  Bend one of the side up, alligned with the central axis

  Again, the other side

• 

  Step 6

  Fold the lower part backwards
  (NOT it the middle)

  Unfold what you've done on steps "4"...

• 

  Step 8

  ... and "5"

• 

  Step 9

  A "z" fold will define the insect's head.

• 

  Step 10

  Fold up on the central axis, and hold the wings together.

• 

  Step 11

  You'll get this.

  Now hold just the head area, and bend down the wings

• 

  Step 12

  And here is your butterfly (from below)

I discovered that Ceres had already published an equal project on March 29th 2010! (http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/simple-origami-butterfly).
Though neither one of us is the creator, she was faster!(lol). My apologies :o(
