Rawr...Your music will be in safe hands.
I really wanted a cool ipod cover that wasn't expensive...being very creative, I decided to make my own after I couldn't find one. And then, the monster ipod case was born.

  • How to sew a fabric character pouch. Monster Ipod Case - Step 1
    Step 1

First grab your ipod, music player or even phone and get a piece of felt of any colour you like. In this case, I chose lime green.

  • Step 2

Next, get a piece of paper and place your ipod on top. Make sure there is a seam allowance and draw that. Then, draw around the ipod. (If that's too complicated see the next picture)

    Step 3

You should end up with sort of template. The inner rectangle is where the ipod will be and the outer rectangle is the seam allowance. (Appologies for the messy outline as I was doing it quickly)

    Step 4

Cut out the template following the outer rectangle. If there are some wobbly lines, as there are on my template, you can neaten them up when cutting it out.

    Step 5

Pin your template to your chosen fabric and cut it out.

Repeat step 5 to get 2 pieces of felt that are the same size and shape.

After that, cut out some features for your monster. I cut out a small eye and a big eye and drew pupils on them with a black permanent marker. I also cut out a black circle for the mouth and a set of teeth. RAWR! Haha

    Step 8

Using chalk, outline the rectangle of your ipod so you know where to sew and where not to put the facial features. Put the monsters features into the position you would like them to be, then glue them into place.

    Step 9

Get both pieces of felt and put the right sides together.
