    bow:
    take your main color yarn or color that you have choosen to use and cast on 18
    1st row: k2, p2 till end of row
    2nd row: p2, k2 till end of row
    3rd row: k2, p2 till end
    4th row: k2, p2 till end
    5th row: p2, k2
    6th row: k2, p2
    7th row: k2, p2
    8th row: p2, k2
    9th row: k2, p2
    10th row: k2, p2
    11th row: p2, k2
    12th row: k2, p2
    BIND OFF!
    it should have some what of a checkered pattern to it.

    the picture is what it looks like when it is finished.

  • Step 2

    stripping (center piece):
    now you take your other color or the same color and cast on 4.
    you then k1, p1 until you reach a little under 2 inches.
    then bind off

    then you take the main part of the bow bunch it up in the center and take your stripping and wrap it around and take your darning needle and sew the ends of the stripping together with the strings dangling from it.

    then you cut youe tie it off cut the strings; stick the hair clip (i used a bobby pin) in the back of the stripping and there you go!
