Easy, cheap, safe and cute! 3 little juggling balls from little piece of fabric.
Here are my cube shaped, polka dotted juggling balls!

I wanted to learn how to juggle but the jugggling balls were too expensive. So I decided to make my own.

I didn't know how to sew. That's why the ball shaped ones were too hard to make for me. I wanted to make something easier, but still I wanted to be able to juggle so I decided to have the cube shape.

They're easy and fun to make. They hurt less than the baloon ones if they accidently drop to your head or hit you in the eye!! :)

Hope you like it!

  • How to make juggling balls. Juggling Balls (Or Cubes!) - Step 1
    Step 1

When you are done, you'll have some fabric cubes so you need the basic cube pattern in order to start.

5 cm for the sides was enough for me. 4 cm is a little bit small and the balls are not heavy enough. But you can keep the sides a little bit longer if you want.

While you are cutting, do not forget to leave 1 cm on each side of the cross shape.

    Step 2

Attach each side to eacother in order to have the cube shape. If you get confused you can follow the colour instructions :)

While you are attaching, attach the corners first, then attach the pins to the sides so you can keep the sides together easily.

    Start to sew.

The corners can be a little bit tricky. So while you are sewing, you may want to get rid of some extra fabric on the corners that you sew the the corner 1 and 2.

Do not forget to use the back side of the fabric.

  • Step 3

Leave the last side and reverse the fabric. Fill it with bulgur, lentil or rice. Do not fill it completely but try not to leave so much empty space. It has to be a little bit heavy so you can juggle.

  • Step 4

    Sew the last side.

  • Step 5

Follow all those steps for the other 2 balls.

Do not forget to use the same amount of material for them all. I recommend to measure them before filling. The balls have to have same weight in order to be balanced.

You are ready to juggle!! Enjoy!!
