Which crochet hook you use depends on which yarn you use and also how small you want the butterfly to be. The smaller the hook, the smaller the butterfly. Both of these were made with same wool, just different hook sizes.

CH = Chain
SL ST = Slip stitch
DC = Double crochet

You Will Need

*Ch 1. 3dc into ring. Ch 1. Sl st into ring.* Repeat once.
Fasten off.
Create abdomen and antennae by wrapping a different colour wool around the middle.
