A way for a separated parent to feel close to his daughter.
These sock monkeys were made by hand using my proprietary pattern based on the vintage Rockford pattern.
I used 2 pairs of coordinating neon tiger stripe socks from Urban Outfitters that were a cotton/poly blend. I swapped the tails, mouth and ear colors so the monkeys would be intertwined even individually. I used all the scrap pieces to make a chunky button crown for the girl monkey and a hat for the daddy monkey. I also stuffed the boy one a little fuller to make him bigger. The finshing touches were really those little heart patches that match the other monkey.
