  • Step 1

    Chain 61 stitches.

  • Step 2

    Half double crochet (HDC) into the second stitch, then HDC all stitches. Chain two to turn.

  • Step 3

    Work HDC in back loop of every stitch, then chain 2.

  • Step 4

    Repeat step 3 until your piece measures 38 inches from the cast on chain.

  • Step 5

    Chain three to turn, triple crochet 4 stitches into the first stitch, then triple crochet along the edge until you reach the last stitch of that side. Triple crochet 4 stitches into this stitch, triple crochet along the next side edge. Repeat until you reach where you began triple crocheting. Slip stitch to your first triple crochet to close.

  • Step 6

    Weave in all ends and trim.
