Fun Fabric Scrap Napkin Rings tutorial
I am in my third year of motherhood and I must confess I have really enjoyed both of my mother's days. I guess I never really understood the specialness of the day until I could enjoy it from the other side. Anyway this week I am celebrating here on my blog with an apron sale all week and this fun, easy, earth, and kid friendly mother's day gift tutorial. This can be made even more sentimental by using fabric scraps from something nostalgic like a memory filled receiving blanket or maybe a torn tablecloth or apron that belonged to grandma.

To be totally honest I will probably never have a table large enough to set with napkin rings,
But if a child of mine made these for me, I would sing another tune. I conjured this design as I was drifting off one night. I was trying to figure out a way to display my new stock of recycled fabric napkin sets. I decided it was only fitting if I had made recycled napkin rings as well. So here is what I came up with. I have not tried this with kids but it just strikes me as a fun(messy) project for the munchkins!
