Alternative for those environment un-friendly carriers.
Inspired by MANY blogs and tutorials easily available.
I used a remnant of fabric and a carrier bag for a template.
As it was heavy weight fabric I didn't line it, just used bias tape around the edges (my first attempt!!)
Remember carrier bags come in different sizes, so go for one that's practical for your needs.
