An easy fringed bookmark pattern, great for beginners!
This is a very simple project that is great for beginners. In this pattern I only used two basic stitches, so you can get the hang of crocheting while getting a completed product pretty quickly. Small projects like this make great little gifts, too!
The abbreviations used in this pattern are include a chain stitch (ch) and a single crochet (sc). A 4.5 mm crochet hook was used for this project. Pattern is in US terms.
Round 1: ch 7. sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across (6 stitches). Turn, ch 1.
Round 2: sc in each sc from the previous round (6 stitches). Turn, ch 1.
Round 3-37: Repeat round 2. Fasten off.
For the Fringe
Cut small pieces of yarn and tie one strand to each stitch on the bottom and top of the bookmark. Cut the strands to one length to finish.
