    Step 1

First gather your supplies. You will need:
    - Wrapping paper for the outside and inside of the case.
    - A Lego plate 15"x15"
    - Modge Podge Matte
    - Hot glue
    - Scissors
    - Case. Suitcase, plastic case. We used one with latches so it would stay closed.

Cover the outside of the case with wrapping paper using Mod Podge. I chose Star Wars wrapping paper for the outside. I tried to use large pieces of the wrapping paper to cover most of the outside and then used smaller pieces to fill in around the latches. I overlapped the edges of the case bringing the wrapping paper to the inside of the case. I did several layers of Mod Podge letting them dry in between.

Cover the inside of the case with a contrasting wrapping paper. I applied this in the same way. My case had a layer of foam glued to the inside of the case so when I took that out it left glue lines. We didn't mind this so I covered right over them.

If your case has latches you can cover them with wrapping paper or make some fun name tags. I created these in Photoshop to look like the Lego logo. I printed them off and adhered them to the latches using Mod Podge.

To attach the Lego building plates, you will need to first determine what size you need to fill the inside of the case. The rest of the Lego plate will go on top of the case. We chose to use one plate and cut it in two pieces since Lego plates can be expensive. Once you have decided the size for the inside plate, fold the plate along that line.

Use an Exacto knife to cut the plate. We used some flat Legos to create an edge along our fold line to guide our cutting.

Hot glue the inside Lego plate to the shallow side of the case, usually the lid.

You can attach a few Lego bricks to the outside of the case on the building plate to help keep the lid level. This is especially helpful if the lid of your case is more shallow than the other side.

Your Lego case is finished! You can now play on both the outside and inside of the case and there is a great place to store your Legos!
