The perfect handmade gift for the wine connoisseur in your life.
I came up with this idea while trying to figure out a handmade gift for a friend who also happened to love wine.

  • How to make a bottle stopper. Diy Kitschy Flower Bottle Stopper - Step 1
    Step 1

    Supplies needed: (clockwise from top)
-materials to construct flowers (in my case, felt and shimmer material)
    -Stiffy
    -a cork
    -E-6000 (my favorite)
    -Round circle of felt
    -Glitter (optional)
    -Paint brush

    Step 2

    1. Take your circle of felt (which will make up the base) and douse it using a paint brush with Stiffy. Make sure both sides are coated. Let dry completely.

    2. Make a few flowers using various tutorials. Play around with different kinds and sizes.

    3. Again, douse each flower with a paint brush and Stiffy. If desired, sprinkle with glitter before it dries. Let dry completely.

    4. Play around with arranging the flowers on your circle base. When you've settled on a layout, glue each flower down with E-6000.

    Step 3

Using E-6000 again, glue the flower arrangement base onto a cork. If needed, set something heavy on top while it's drying (which I did just in case to make sure it adhered really well).
