I wanted to do a vneck the same way and found if i gradually make the cuts shorter as i go down it works the same way :)
unfortunatly i also found that weaving the back made it a bit tight so im going to have to either let it out or give it away. i dont mind too much though. this is the first time iv worn this shirt in months! it was about to get donated as it was!:)
*EDIT* I let out the sides and relaced it using extras i cut off! it fits again!!woohoo!*EDIT*
