    Follow recipe for dough:

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
    1/4 tsp baking soda
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup brown sugar (or white sugar or half sugar, half honey, whatever really!)
1 egg AND 1 egg yolk (reserve the egg white)
    1/4 tsp Vanilla

Cream butter, sugar and egg together with vanilla.
Mix all together till nice and pliable (and, well dough like ;) If dough is a bit sticky and hard to work with, thats ok, put it in the fridge for 30 - 60 minutes.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 still you use all your dough.

  • Step 4

Make as many turtles as dough you have by repeating steps 2 and 3!

An Amazing idea! turtles are my favourite animal and i can't wait to try this. However im not fond of Pecans so I will most like experiment with different things for the head and limbs. I may also try adding green food colouring to the shell/cookie....Such a good stimulant for my creativity ^^
