Create a whimsical planter from salvaged parts!
Using an antique bucket, a salvaged faucet head, and some pipe, you can create a lovely planter.

    Finding the perfect bucket and the perfect faucet are the hard parts for this project. BUT once you have them, it takes just moments to create this adorable planter.

    Screw your pipe and faucet on either ends of the pipe nipple (bring your faucet into a hardware store, and they'll help you find the right parts). Add potting soil to your bucket and insert the pipe into the soil, packing it around fairly tightly to keep the pipe in place.

    Add your plants (I like Portulaca- it does well in a planter and grows so happily that it "hides" the pipe), and enjoy your planter!
