• 

  Step 1

  Start with a light orange and paint your carrot shape, on dry paper. Try and leave some little gaps, which add texture to the carrot. You can dab paint away with a tissue or kitchen paper if needed.

  Step 2

  Once your first layer is dry, using a darker orange, paint some shading on the left side of the carrot, and a little on the right, leaving the areas in the middle lighter, to create the round shape.

  Step 3

  Once your second layer is dry, using a thin brush, paint on some rough lines in a dark orange, to give your carrot even more texture. Then, using a dryer brush, sweep on some leaves, in different shades of green.
