A band for riding your bicycles with style
Riding your bicycles in skirt is no longer a problem! This easy to make and practical magnetic band will keep your skirts and dresses in place while being gentle to your favourite hoisery! When you are done, just discretely remove the magnets and put them in your bag! No one will ever know! ;)

Step 1
Measure your thies (circumference) just above your knees or higher (depending on the length of the skirts/dresses you wear). This will be the length of the rubber bands - cut two! Overlap the ends of the rubber bands so the overlapping is a bit bigger than your magnets. Pin in place!
Step 2
Sew three sides of the overlapping part with a zig zag stich so that you make a small pocket in which the magnet will fit! Slide your magnet into the pocket in the rubber band!
Step 3
Sew the opening of the pocket on the rubber band closed with a zig zag stich, while holding the magnet with your fingers so that it won't damage the sewing machine needle! Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the other band.
Step 4
Cut 4 hearts from artificial leather! They should be big enough to fit the magnets!
Step 5
Put two hearts together so that the wrong sides are facing each other and sew along edges leaving a small opening for the magnet! Slide the magnet into the pocket and sew the opening closed, again be carefull not to damage your needle! Repeat with other two hearts!
Step 6
The rubber bands are worn on your thies, skirt or dress over them. When you are riding secure the skirt/dress by putting the heart with the magnet on your skirt/dress at the place where rubber band magnet is (the skirt/dress fabric is in between)! These two magnets will attract each other and keep the skirt/dress in place!
