Second version! Everything made by me, I might turn this into a How-To someday!
***the list above is just for the most obvious materials. Scroll down to read entire cost & time breakdown

So I've completely remade my Babydoll cosplay! This was completed earlier this year. I've remade the top, skirt, and gun charms; bought new (more accurate) shoes, stockings, wig, and sword; added decals to the gun; and I made my own gun holster and belt out of leather.

Unfortunately, I haven't gotten many good photos in this cosplay!!! The ones from my last photoshoot turned out well, but I'm not completely satisfied yet.

The time that I used to make this project differs so much from my original cosplay, because at this point I already knew how to make the top and skirt; and was familiar with the mistakes I'd made with the original cosplay. So those pieces took less time - but I also made my own pattern for the top, instead of using a shirt pattern like in the first one. The leather work was also intense. I bought it as a raw pelt, dyed it, sealed it, shaped it, glued it, stitched it, and riveted it together. It took A LOT of time, and I would highly recommend using an industrial or leather-specific sewing machine to work with leather, because my mom's old Pfaff almost died.

Time Breakdown:

pattern making for the top - 20 hours
building process of top and skirt (including hand-stitching buttons and snaps)- 15 hours
gun holster and belt - 30 hours
wig styling/reconstruction (had to add wefts because I have a big head)- 5 hours
Sculpey gun charms - 10 hours
re-painting gun and adding decals - 3 hours
cutting, burning, and coffee-staining the hand bandage - 2 hours

fabric - $50
stockings - $10
shoes - $150
sword - $100
gun - $3
Sculpey (for the amount I used) - $2
paints - already in stock
