We head to the super kitsch Roseleaf bar cafe in Edinburgh's Leith area to learn how-to make a super hearty ham hock terrine and simple hot smoked salmon pate.

How did you get started?

Opened the doors on Friday the 13th of July 2007 By the wife and I (Lyn & Jonny Kane).

Where are you located?

In the heart of the Shore area.

What are your specialities?

Mad Hatters T-Parties, Pot-Tails, fresh juices & a menu that is completely made from scratch using sustainable & seasonal produce as much as we can. In addition we still serve 35ml measures of booze & have a muckle selection of quality beverages :)

What's your personal favorite thing on the menu?

It was Mac n Cheese (not on the menu at the mo) as is my all time favourite dish:)
Currently i'd say our steak as for £15 its the bestestest one in town:) Although loving the Kedgereedoo, Big Yin brekkie & fave pud is the Pilrig Palava - our take on an Eton Mess

What's on the stereo?

We mainly use Spotify radio and artists we love are Arthur Lyman & Ernest Ranglin although we are always after recommendations:)

Where else should we visit in your area?

Love all the bars with food Leith has to offer like Nobles, Kings Wark, Bond No.9 & The Vintage.

Do you host any special events?

We embrace national days of our staff & recommendations from customers. We then try a dish or two on our Specials Menu & also the staff get to name a dish on their birthdays.

Is there anything else you'd like us to know?

Do you have a favorite cafe, restaurant or bar in your town that we should feature? Send us a message!
