DIY The Look

Jo recreates the playful style of "crazy-eyes" Suzanne from Orange Is The New Black.

Suzanne is a bright and bubbly character....if not just a little crazy! I love this style for her as it shows off her playful, loveable nature which makes the character one of my favourites in the show. Being an inmate means that Suzanne's personality can't be shown through the many shades of beige she's required to wear. This style lets her try new things with her hair, wear playful accessories and promote a stylish throwback to the 80s; with acid yellows and shocking pinks. All that's missing is a well rehearsed bank robbery and the rest of the crew with a Madonna backing track to complete the look.

Anna Bean recreates the whimsical vintage style of singer and songwriter Regina Spektor.

The reason why I choose Regina Spektor's style, was because of the whimsical, vintage, and 50's feel that it is. I also like that it truly reflect the kind of person she it (both her personality, and her music.)

Dim from The Dim Pig recreates the edgy bohemian style of Vanessa Hudgens.

Vanessa Hudgens is a bohemian icon. Either spotted on the street or on a formal occasion, she always has that effortless boho vibe on her. Maxi dresses and skirts, long pendant necklaces and different patterns from florals to paisley are her staples. Her earthy style is constantly evolving and it always gives me inspiration.

Jenna from Lavender Jelly Beans recreates the eccentric & colorful style of Italian fashion deigner, Anna Piaggi.

Anna Piaggi was a fashion icon known for her eccentric and flamboyant style. With blue hair, a legendary wardrobe of rainbows and a funky top hat collection, she rocked the fashion world with her style confidence. She was a true inspiration.

Jessica from The Aspen Tree recreates the bohemian style of Stevie Nicks.

Stevie Nicks has been inspiring fans for decades, not only with her music, but with her style as well. She gives off an effortless, carefree, sexy vibe and her style, which is a little bit bohemian and a little bit witchy, has almost single handedly inspired all festival looks. A Stevie Nicks looks is something you can certainly achieve with DIY projects. Pro Tip: Make everything in black.
