Best take to shop and get advice - if it is dirt then they may clean for you free of charge. In a photograpy shop they will sell the correct cleaning solution (others like glasses cleaner would probably do but best to be safe) and tissue. Camera lenses are often coated and the coating will probably be fairly fragile.

If the camera is still under warrenty do not hesitate - take it back!

If it's on the outside of the lens, you can probably wipe it off with any lens-cleaning tissue available from a camera store. If it is inside, your best bet is to take it to the shop because if it's a scratch you will need a new lens.

If it is indeed on the outside, make sure you use a lens tissue as anything else might be too rough.

I would take it to the shop. Um I had this camera and it had a blur too and I forgot about it later on and it died! THE END !!! So um I recommend taking it to the shop because if there is a solution the lens might be ruined

Since your SLR and Compact are broken and can't afford a new Camera, have you concidered buying a Used Camera Body or a Digital Camrea till you can afford a New Camera Body?

Yep...well you've probably already got something, but I have two sony's a55 and a77, love them both, the a55 cause it's small and the a77 because it has a full frame sensor and gets 12 frames per second.

http://www.discoverdigitalphotography.com/2011/product-photography-tips/ the white cardboard background looks most neutral imho and very natural if you use natural light (outside or through a window)
that's what I usually do when I take pictures for ebay for example (but with artificial light here; the white fabric on the right is used to reflect more light on the shoes from the other side):
If white backdrops look too boring to you, you can use a patterned one instead but I find patterns too distracting

My SLR and my compact are both broken, so I'm trying to decide what kind of replacement camera to get. The mirrorless Canon looks amazing and would work with all of my SLR lenses but it's soooo expensive. Has anyone got a mirrorless camera and what do you think of it? Would it be worth me holding out for the Canon one?

Eventually I settled for on an Instax and it's filled the polaroid-shaped hole in my heart!

I have a regular point and shoot digital camera. A Nikon Coolpix. I would totally recommend a DSLR because I personally HATE my digital camera. Nikon has very pixely, blurry close up shots on most close ups I take. Plus it takes batteries and they die constantly even thought I would have literally just bought new ones andout them in. I really want a DSLR. I don't recommend Nikon cameras, btw!! :-)

Thanks I'll try that bc a 30$ battery isn't gonna happen. I have another camera( a newer one )I can take pictures w/ it but when I try to load them it will only load my photos up til 2011 I've tried deleting some pictures but it still wouldn't load. I guess I'm just having issues with cameras lately. I'll try to load it to another computer.

The more a battery is charged the more it loses it's ability to hold a charge... that why everyone suggests on everything with a chargeable battery (laptops, phones, cameras) to wait until the battery is fully drained before charging and not leaving it to charge for longer then it needs to. Like Lau5ren said, even if you haven't used them a lot if they sit for a long time they'll lose their charge. You'll have to replace the battery...

Amazon has them for cheap - http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-Compatible-Lithium-ion-Battery-FE-3000/dp/B003D8K2VS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1340774680&sr=8-1&keywords=Olympus+LI-42B+Rechargeable+Lithium-ion+Battery+for+FE+and+Stylus+Series+Cameras

    you can also try ebay

this is what my battery looks like http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=9722046&findingMethod=rr

I'd like to find one for less than 30 dollars though. The question now is what battery should I get to replace it? brand-wise I guess

Also,do you know why lithium batteries are better than alkaline? How can you tell the difference? I'm not sure what mine is now but apparently kodak includes alkaline with their cameras yet they don't suggest using it :/

Try regular batteries, cause my rechargeable go bad, they like die all at once. Your camera is probably most likely fine. New batteries should do the trick :)

I've had a kodak easy share camera for about 6 years it has a rechargable battery that has worked fine until now. Everytime I turn on the camera it has a 1/2 mark battery charge and then it stops working I've tried charging it 2ce over the past few days at first the charger shows that it's charging but then the lights go red after a while. I was wondering if I need a new battery or a new camera :(

poo, I guess I should have read the whole conversation to figure out you bought a camera oops.........hehe
  22. Posted 11 months ago
It definitely depends on the digital camera, some can be verrrrryyyyyyy good. But I would recommend a DSLR because you can start to learn the endless amount of features and really make your photos professional and perfect.

I would say, overall if you think a DSLR is right for you, and you can find one you like and can reasonably afford just go for it. I use a Nikon D50, they don't make them anymore but if you want to check our my photography projects on CO+K it will give you an idea of the unedited outcome!

    Good Luck :)

how did u manage to get rid of the lines where the paper joins?
  25. Posted 12 months ago
update: i got a canon sx40, i love it! i just need a tripod of sorts. occasionally it decides not to focus on the subject, which is ok because i take lots of pics of the same thing, but when its an action shot, like of animals, sometimes it misses that one crucial shot.
  26. Posted 12 months ago
i said it before but il say it again, u did a great job! it is amazing what editing can do to pictures, they look like they do in real life (which is what i wanted)
  27. Posted 12 months ago
Photo Shop CS5 :P but any photo editing software will do the trick.
