A sweet treat for your sweetheart at breakfast!
If you think you don't like oatmeal, then try this base oatmeal recipe and let's talk again. But to make it even more special. . . add some fresh raspberries and chocolate chips!
Raspberry and chocolate is a tried and true baking combination. But they are also heart healthy right alongside the oatmeal, so no guilt here.
Start by bringing the water with a pinch of salt to a boil. Add the oats and cook for five minutes, just until the flakes are soft and chewy. Use a slotted spoon, if it's too moist, to drain and add to a bowl. I like to add a tablespoon of brown sugar, top with the chocolate chips and raspberries and here's the secret . . . add some evaporated milk.
