that time of month

Ha Ha! I don't have a period anymore! I have really bad endometriosis, so I get the Depo shot every three months. If I were to have my period I'd be in so much pain I wouldn't be able to leave the bed for a week. The downside is that I'll probably never have kids, but there are tons of kids around the world who need homes. Besides I'm still a 10 year old in a 30 year old body! LOL

Ewww. I hear terrible things about the Depot shot. Be carefull!! It messed up my friends who took it. But then again what b/c is good for you these days??

I was scared to take it at first, too. It just doesn't seem natural not to bleed, but I've been on it for over a year and it's been the best treatment I could have ever gotten for my endometriosis! It was either the shot or a full hysterectomy. What really scares me are those metal IUD's that are implanted. What if it rusted or dislodged and poked some vital organ? Sharp metal things in the hoo-ha can't be good.

Do they still use those!!?? Yuck. When my husband comes back from Iraq he is getting snipped. Birthcontrol makes me crazy!!

They may use plastic these days (I've seen commercials for 'em), but my first thought is INFECTION! BTW . . . be careful with the snipping! I know a foster parent whose hubby got snipped and she turned up pregnant a few months back. Maybe it was the mailman, but she swears it was her hubby.

Yeah, I've heard of that happening. If it did oh well, meant to be I guess. Maybe if it happened that one would be my girl!

I don't actually know if they do that or not, I just got the idea somehow when I was worried too. I'm guessing we've heard from some where that theres some sort of way they can help 'induce' periods. Maybe if you're that worried then actually go see the doctor just for reassurance, they've probably come across this before. Go with your mum if you're embarrased about talking about it.

and courtney listeeeen I was 14! it's fine! lol no i know, it's a big deal.

Sug - maybe it's stress?

for some reason when I get PMT it starts to really ache around my armpits and if the sleeves of a tshirt are short and go right under my armpits they start to chaff, you know like rub and it drives me crazy. And then my shoulders ache because i sort of lift my shoulders up to stop the rubbing.

I finally decided that it was worth going on the pill to get rid of my period pains. When I had my last period I was just like "Right, that's it, I've had enough", so I went to see the nurse at the sexual health clinic at my doctors and had a long chat with her. She said it'll definitely reduce or completely eliminate the pain because you don't actually have a true period, so hopefully that'll be the end of my misery every month Happy.
I just have to keep remembering to take a pill every day, which hasn't been difficult so far so hopefully I'll be able to make it a habit and not forget! lol

yeh I set my alarm for 8am even if im not getting up to take it because I want to take it right everyday. You'll come on at like the exact same time every month too. I get the emotional PMT the week before and then back ache a day or two when it starts but no where near as bad as before I was on it (i've said this before but its true!). I don't understand why it still hurts and the emotional side of it comes with it still when it's a false period, but at least it's not as bad. They never explained it properly to me cuz I was 15, they just told me how to take it, like they don't tell you if you think you're pregnant a pregnancy test won't work because of the hormones from the pill (I only know this because of a friend by the way), but the idea is that it prevents it so well you don't need to worry.

I'm like proper pro pill! lol
