I was 14 1/2 before I got mine Courtney, they'll come and then you may well wish they hadn't!! But I do understand the feeling of not having them when it feels like everyone else does.

the last ummm 3 years I think, ive come on on xmas day! and had worse period pain then ever for some reason, although I think I was alright last year actually and this year it's already been and gone with a week till xmas Happy

maybe this is why you've been feeling even worse?

and courtney, it's a blessing that you haven't started yet! I started when I was 14 and for 2 years before that I actually used to cry about it because I thought I was weird, but enjoy the time before 'womanhood' really starts, you're going to be at an age where you understand it more when it comes. Plus you might be able to go on the pill or something to take care of the pain really quickly with being older, I went on it at 15.

I was on the pill as well. It does help. So does advil. I swear by them. Midol is great too

I'm on a birth control pill that lessens my period to two times a year. I have low blood count, doc figures loosing blood for no reason is a bad idea.

oh really, I wish I could do that.

the injection stops you having periods all together! but yacky needle every 3 months and I need to know if there are babies or not! Goin on the pill sorted mine out apart from pains on the first day but it's good for when you're a bit older cuz you don't need to worry about sorting birth control out, because it's already taken care of...;)

i know a girl who started when she was 9 and she says its such a hassle and besides i dont have to worry about shoving things up there and blood everywhere so i guess im glad i dont have to deal with that...yet....

Blerghh period pains. Last night was my work Christmas party but I couldn't drink because I'd had to take painkillers and I spent most of the night sat down because my insides were dying.
I think I was about 12 when I started (I can't really remember because I was just like "This is going to happen for the rest of my life whether I like it or not so I might as well just get over it" haha), and it was pretty werid at first but after a while you just get used to it, and you know what to expect and when to expect it. I never used to get period pains though, but now I get them reallyyyy badly :\
