My favorite black leather boots lost some leather and I wanted to save them.

Whatever you want to add
Buttons
Measure a piece of denim that will easily cover the area, or part of the area that's worn, and make certain you can tie a loose knot with it. Stitch to hold the knot in place. Add an additional piece of denim if the first doesn't completely cover the area that you are trying to hide. Stitch again. Add buttons or embellishments as you like. You are done. Enjoy you fun and one of a kind boots. Since these are not directly attached to the boots, you can change up as much as you'd like.
