For the well-dressed gypsy
I decided to be a gypsy at the Renaissance Festival this year. I had most of the costume already, but I decided I needed more flair to the costume. Basically I made an a-line skirt a little below the knee, cut it unevenly and finished the him with a zigzag stitch. The faux corset / belt was more complicated and I suggest if you try it, you use a knit fabric that is thicker than t-shirt (jersey fabric). Also for the faux corset, measure your waist then subtract about two inches since you're using knit/stretchy fabric.
