For you tree or for your lamp switch, or for your car or for your ears!!
These I made on the fly for my mother in law who knits but is also a lover of fiber arts in general. Light weight yarn is best. The smaller snowflake is a shortened version of a so called flemish design which features the "sun like" disc that is larger. The moorish one was a little bit of a pain in the but, only because the pattern was a little difficult to read but there was also a visual. I knew what I wanted it to look like and have been crocheting for a while, so I broke it down for myself in less convoluted steps. It was really pretty easy after that. :)
I then soaked them in glue water as I had run out of fabric starch and then set them in front of a heater for about and hour. Wallah! Instant ornaments! And I have left over yarn for more motifs or whatever!

-These variations are from the book Encyclopedia of Crochet.
