Sew-Easy to Organize
After having so many thread spools rolling around in my drawer I finally came up with an organizer that was built to fit my sewing supplies perfectly. Now everything I need can be found without the hassle.

You Will Need

Step 1Step 1: Start off with an empty box that has a depth no more than 3 inches high. The deeper the box, the harder it is to get your sewing supplies.

Step 2Step 2: Depending on the depth of your box and how many materials you will be placing in it, the size and quantity of your dividers is completely up to you.

Step 3Step 3: Insert your dividers in the box and hold each divider down with tape.

Step 4Step 4: Decorate your box with fabric, print paper or anything your crafty mind can think of!

I have 2 small 3-tier organizers. Could this work in them, also? I gotta get my sewing stuff in order, or I will spend most of my time hunting for the seam ripper!!!

Will using a shelf I have as part of a 3-shelf container work as well? I have these containers and am becoming very desperate to organize my sewing stuff!!

This is an awesome idea! I was thinking of spending money ( a lot of it) on a nice looking sewing box with dividers and what not. But this is such a great idea that saves money and is personalized. Thanks for posting this.

That is such a good idea. I always have a hard time finding an efficient way of storing my sewing supplies but this looks like it would work very well. I am going to have to try making it soon
