makes a great chocker necklace
I prefer to make my jewelry with waxed dental floss, it strong and cheap. Also if the necklace ever brakes it mostly stays together and has a minty smell to it.

I made this same necklace several years ago as a gift, but I used a heart I took from a broken sun catcher for the center, and I really loved it.

  • How to make a woven bead necklace. Necklace - Step 1
    Step 1

Just make a row of seed beads, for this necklace I used 65, but the size would be too small for others so be careful of that.

Add 2 bicone beads to the top string, and add 5 seed beads to the bottom.

    Step 2

Add onto that another bicone bead, and six seed beads. Skipping the last seed bead put the thread back up through the other seed beads and the bicone bead.

    Step 3

Add on 5 more seed beads, and take the top string and put it through the last seed bead in the opposite direction.
Pull it tight and repeat the steps until you're happy with the length.

That's pretty good, especially since it's made from dental floss, I never would have thought it. Very creative!!
