mad at everything

I've been getting madover really small things and sometimes for no reason at all lately. It makes me kinda ticked off at my friend for being too happy. Is it just because I'm a teenager or what?

You may have a hormonal unbalance. My sis used to act like this alot. Very emotional over silly things...turns out she has PCOS. It affects your hormones and makes you feel like your are pms-ing all the time. You should talk to your doctor to rule out anything serious.

Probably. You could also be suffering from a hormone imbalance. Here is a link to a test you can take to see if you might have one.

Of course if you are sexually active it could also be a sign of pregnancy. I was pissed off at people for every little thing when I was pregnant and I only carried for 6 weeks before my miscarriage.

Regardless, its a good idea to talk to your doctor about this as it can easily be masking a medical issue. You may also find comfort in talking to your school counselor about things that are upsetting you. You'd be surprised at how much insight and understanding they can be.

I found keeping a journal when I was in high school pretty stress relieving. It was a great way to document my every day life and my changes in emotions. As an adult I'm able to go back and look at who I was as a teenager and understand a lot of what was going on better.

It's pretty normal to go through a period of anger when you are a teenager though. I used to work in a high school and junior high guidance office and I saw it a lot. You can also feel free to PM me any time if you want.

Might be PMS. I'm not even kidding with that, sometimes I get like that around my period. Sometimes it's the week before, the week during, or the week after so my poor family never knows what to expect 3 weeks a month! lol

Could be a hormonal imbalance in general, or maybe if you're about to come on or if you already have. Felicity, it may not always be PCOS. I have PCOS and I haven't had this problem, but it could be different symptoms affecting different people??

Or it could be the one thing that no-one has said. People just tend to have bad days and weeks, it could just be part of your personality too... I don't know, it could be a number of things.

If you say just 'lately' that wouldn't mean a long period of time. I'd just put it down to the wrong time of the month or like Lolly.Bot said, it's just not your week... Being a teenager could be it, just hormones trying to sort themselves out, it's all part of growing up! Are you quite stressed from school work? Stress can cause you to get annoyed easily.

If it continues, you might then want to go see the doctor who could tell you what's up and where to go from there and what you can do to help it Happy

Don't worry about it tooo much ;)

You sound normal to me. I think questioning yourself is normal, I still get mad at certain things, but I have had to accept that's how I am. Maybe you are just a little frustrated with something in your life.

Maybe you need an outlet to focus on, somthing artistic, or musical. Maybe it's your own way of telling you to try new out some things? I was similar at school, I found a way out through painting & Music & met a whole bunch of people who were more on my wavelength. X
