Valentine's Disappointment

Okay, so for the past 7 years I have held a Valentine craft party for all of my crafty friends. I'm super duper busy lately, so one of my friends offered to host this year. I was up for someone else hosting, so I wouldn't feel as stressed. However, now I kind of wish I had hosted. I didn't finish one Valentine at the party! Usually, I end up with oodles of Valentines! The set up wasn't the greatest, but I'll give her some slack since it was her first time. However, the day of the party she decided that she and some of her friends were going to a burlesque show that same night. As a result we only had a very short time period for crafting. Poo Happy On the bright side I bought some fantastic pasties at the burlesque show (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em) that I'm going to use for my boyfriend's Valentine. I usually have a theme for my Valentine crafts and this year it's going to be nudies! Maybe I'll make him a monkey and put the pasties on the monkey! I'm going to continue making Valentine's by my little lonesome, but it would be more fun with company.
Note to self: Always host the Valentine craft party!

It's nice to have crafty friends. I live in New Orleans where costumes are needed several times a year. You've got to be crafty to come up with fresh costume ideas every year. I believe there is a crafter in the heart of every New Orleanean!

jezze that would suck, not many people I know craft (except you shiv) and it's got good and bad points a bad point I guess would be you can't have craft parties Happy though a good point is when you make something like the star burst wrapper bracelet people think it's amazing and your so clever Happy it's always good to feel smart

lol when I was younger mum wanted me to go out and socialize instead of spending all weekend in my room "making a mess" (her words not mine) eventually she just gave up and let me be a creative anti-social person

why me? why did I have to have the anti social friend? lol

don't give up crafting Methatsall- I've got an idea- maybe you could craft your next present for your mum- mother's day is coming up- make something really good- you could also make something that saves money compared to if you bought it in the shops- like your own dress or something- parents love pratical things so make a few things that could be useful around the house.

My mum doesn't particularly like me crafting as she says it costs too much (but that xmas fabric was sooo pretty) and that I'm doing adult crafts but I said she was being a hypocrit coz she bought me a book on sewing which was aimed at adults. She just wants me to be like her and also do all the things she never got to do- like the time she wanted me to do that "woodworking for women" class, at school which i didn't want to do, she's gone on before about wanting to do woodwork when she was younger-coincidence I think not- she chucked a big sad at me coz I wouldn't do it!

It really pisses me off, I've told mum about it but she just kinda ignores me
