Nope we don't get Kinder Eggs anymore Happy When I was like 12 we used to be able to buy them at specialty candy stores, but then I guess the were banned. But you can order them online, or have someone mail some to you. Just cant buy them here or sell them here in the US.
I think the UK has a ton of amazing stuff the US doesn't get though, or things that are "specialty" items here. Like good chocolate for one, the US chocolates taste waxxy compared to the UK and Europe's ah-mazing chocolate. And the shortbread cookies with raspberry jam in the center! I can find some like those, but they aren't the same! lol and just good shortbread cookies in general are expensive when you do find them at the store.
I think we always want what we cant have, lol. ^_^

madness, we end up with a few boxes of shortbread every xmas, and they only seem to get eaten when there's nothing else in to eat haha!!
Do you get Lindt chocolate in US? That is the nicest chocolate in the world!!

Yeah we have Lindt but all I can ususally find is the balls in different size bags and they are crazy expensive. I saw some holiday bags that had 4 balls in them for.$10.00! We also have Godiva that is alright chocolate but also a bit pricey and ghiridelli but I don't like that brand as much. Lol

never heard of the other brands!! In Uk our main brands of chocolate are Cadbury's and Mars (they make galaxy chocolate-the cookie crumble one is amazing!)

I went to spain recently and the biscuits are awful, no hobnobs, digestives or anything, just some sandwich chocolate biscuits that were slightly salty!? So its not too bad claire! 0o0

That's funny, I've never heard of that brand Tongue must be an east coast item. My favorite are the Royal Dansk butter cookies that come in the blue tin Happy

America does get all the cool stuff, cool places, cool fabric. I'm meh about the sweets though, they are too sweet for my tastebuds, although there are loads of american sweet shops in uk now, i go in there and think "i want some 'normal' sweets"
I'd love to move to america, although i would probably eat too much junk food, but it means leaving my whole family behind.
america gets the best cons, all the webcomics i read are done by americans, and they hardly ever (more like never) come to UK, if they do its ridiculously expensive, for example, theres a star trek con this year, for a 3-day ticket its like £1500 just because the celebs dont come to uk much, and this year there are a load of the captains, 20 people can buy "special" tickets for £2999 each. i went to one a few years ago, it was only £20 to get in for one day. now they charge for everything. but im getting off-topic.

I think Europe gets better concert tours and bands in general.

I don't eat chocolate, but for some reason I really want to see a Kinder Egg in real life. Stupid U.S. laws.

I am quite lucky. I am American however I live in the UK. When I in the states I go through British withdraw and when I am in the UK, I go through American withdraw.

Withdraws when I am in the UK:
Root Beer, Taco Bell (its crap I know, but cheap Mexican food is hard to find here.), IHOP, Wendy's, Sonic, soft pretzels, Philly Cheese steaks, Yeaguling Beer, Grits, Cream of Wheat, Old Navy clothing, Provolone Cheese, Hoagies, Twizzlers, Detached Houses!! (I feel so crammed in UK flats). Seafood, and top on my list -- Flavoured Coffee!!

UK withdraws when I am in America:
Fish & Chips, Jaffa Cakes, Yorkshire Puddings, cheap Indian Food, Decent Chocolate (yes, compared to Europe, American chocolate is crap), The pub atmosphere & food, public transport! (without a licence, I am stuck when I go the states), Being able to by Beer, Wine & Alcohol in supermarkets (unless you live outside of Pennsylvania),

I can't believe that KinderEggs are illegal in America. I have brought them back several times for my cousins and never had a problem.

@Green Duck:
KinderEggs aren't illegal to possess in the USA. However, it's illegal to buy them here. If you bring them over from another country, there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the clarification Olivia.

Just out of curiosity - When I was a kid we use to get prizes in cereal. (I use to pick the cereal based on the best prize in the box.) Do they still do that in the States?
