Are Christmas cards still important?

We're writing our Christmas cards. Do you think they're still important or just a waste of paper?

I think so. It's always nice to get a card in the mail, especially a Christmas card. Nothing says someone is thinking of you like getting a card in the mail. In today's world, were we are all about instant gratification, it's nice to see that someone took the time to write you a card. Happy
And when you can't buy/make everyone a gift, it's a nice alternative.

I just sent mine out.

I love cards! They done have to be fancy or hand made to show that your thinking about that peso. And that you care Happy I totally agree with Yaritza, people are so used to sending text or saying hi on face book that a really card with a real hand written note means a world of difference

I think they're important. I mean, Cristmas E-mail? That wouldn't go down very well with some people.

They are! Especially if they are coming from far away from the old friend. That's how you keep in touch some times;)
I got one yesterday all the way from Australia from my friend from school, never felt this happy.
Emails are not the same as a hand written cards...

I do love sending out cards... even though I feel like I'm one of the only people who does it, at least among my friends and family. I guess someone has to carry on old traditions?

I'm not a huge card sender personally. But there's nothing like knowing that people you love are thinking of you (especially around the holidays). So, I guess I'm a little on the fence about it.

I'd love to make/buy cards for all of those I love, but I usually don't have the time nor money, and then there's the debate of whether or not you're close enough to someone to send them a card, which can tend to end up in some awkward situations.

I handmake all of my cards, and it's just so nice to see peoples faces light up when they open them, and realize that you've just tought of them, i think it's a nice gesture to send them Happy

Our family has kind of a tradition. We make cards every year and send them out to family members. So I guess yeah, they're important to me.

Yes, it's nice getting Christmas cards and sending them. It just shows that you still hold that person in your heart and thoughts; even when they're miles away.
