Title says all :)
First attempt at wire wrapping. I don't think I did toooo badly, but the more I look at it the less I like it :\
May consider doing a how-to if anyone's interested :)

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 1
    Step 1

    What you need:
    20cm x 4 of 24 gauge wire
Pliers (I used round nose and flat nose which have cutters)
    Ruler
    Marble

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 2
    Step 2

Measure 20cm of the 24 gauge wire

(Note: Uh, I did this a while back so I kinda forgot how much i used and when I started making this tutotrial I used 16cm but that ended being too short D: So I added another 4cm to it. So basically you might want to use slightly more. Sorry for the confusion!)

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 3
    Step 3

    Cut four of themmm

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 4
    Step 4

Cut a shorter wire (I cut about 10cm) and wrap the four wires together in the centre

*Make sure the wires are lined up like that flat! :)

~If you have no problem with this, move on to step 6~

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 5
    Step 5

(There's probably a better way to do this, but I've only been doing wirework for about over half a year and this is the way I found worked for me)

    1. Bend the wire in half and pinch the middle with pliers but make sure there's a gap for the wires.
2.Place the wire on the other four (as shown in picture)
    3. Make sure the wires are flat and take one side of the wire and bend it over the other four
    4.Repeat with other end
    5.Repeat until there's a long enough coil

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 6
    Step 6

Separate the wires into pairs like that

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 7
    Step 7

Place marble on the coil at the bottom

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 8
    Step 8

    Another picture for step 7...

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 9
    Step 9

Bend the wires upwards, around the marble to keep it into place. The marble may fall out (or jump in my case) a few times but keep trying.

*Try to keep the sections equal :)

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 10
    Step 10

You have to take three of the eight wires and bend then downwards to form that loopy for the chain or whatever.

Take two wires and bend it across all the wires so that you can wrap around it.

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 11
    Step 11

After it's wrapped around, cut off excess wire.

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 12
    Step 12

You'll notice that you have three wires pointing downwards and three wires upward

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 13
    Step 13

Take the ends of the wire and curl them. If you think the wire is too long and the curl will be too big, just cut some off but don't cut off too much!

  • Step 14

For the one I had made before, I had made it so that the curl didn't have a hole in it, but it doesn't matter so much, just depends on how you prefer it

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 15
    Step 15

    Curl all three

(As I've said, my wire was too short and that made my curls look all weird and starved or something :( )

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 16
    Step 16

Now for the other three wires, bend it gently back and tuck it behind wires like in the photo to keep them in place

(I did it really badly and messily here, but i hope you get the point :\
    )

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 17
    Step 17

Curl the three wires that are tucked in

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 18
    Step 18

    Done!

  • How to make a wire wrapped pendant. Wire Wrapped Marble - Step 19
    Step 19

I did a few other designs too, but the main concept is basically the same :)

    Step 20

    Have fun! :)

Can you provide more pictures for the remaining step by step. It sort of distracts reading text when it all started with pictures. It is a very stunning design otherwise.
