Space Cowgirl Costume

Rayguns and cow print and sequins, oh my!
...and the 'space cowgirl' thing might actually make more sense if I'd managed to finish the jetpack backpack that was supposed to go with it :D

In fact, a lot of my grand ideas for this festival costume didn't make it off the drawing board (read: spray-painted silver cowboy boots, 'space is fun' slogan top, pink cybergoggles...), but it was still mighty fun to wear - any excuse to rock a plushie raygun and some awesome silver fringing. We're just going to ignore the fact that I was still finishing bits of my costume in the car on the way to the festival...

P.S. It seems like a stupidly long time for a fairly small amount of stuff, but the total time includes several hours spent going 'yes, I totally know how to put this thing together' and also 'oh god I've painted two of the same side!' - because when the fabric shop runs out of cow print cotton, what else are you going to do but paint your own? :P
