I believe that this was my first DIY project of the summer and it was so much fun to make! The story: My friend's birthday was coming up and I had not yet gotten her a gift, and I needed to do something— FAST.

What I ended up choosing to make was a dress with sparkly trim/edging. I took a plain black kimono dress, and painted on a layers of a mod-podge and glitter mixture with a large paintbrush to create visible strokes.

Annndddd, this is the outcome!
