Take the coloring book to the fridge.

My niece has this Halloween coloring book that had some of the cutest looking bats in it. And I thought they would make the cutest magnets on my fridge. Alas, she had colored all over them. So I stole a few pages out of a Sea Life coloring book at her doctor's office.

Instructions

  1. Step 1 1

I went with the smallest images I could find. Some of the little images from the activity pages I'm gonna use for jewelry.

  2. Step 2 2

Today I went with a Jellyfish.

  3. Step 3 3

    First I colored him in.

  4. Step 4 4

    Then I modge podge him.

  5. Step 5 5

After he's dried, cut him out.

  6. Step 6 6

Modge podge him to some thin cardboard or cardstock. If your working with really thin cardboard like I was, then you can modge podge the back too.

  7. Step 7 7

Once the podge is dried, then cut Mr. Jellyfish out again.

  8. Step 8 8

I added a little more modge podge around the cut edges. Just to make sure he's fully waterproof. lol, waterproof jellyfish.

  9. Step 9 9

After he's dried, then I fished out my magnets. I got these off the backs of notepads that go on the fridge. But you can sacrifice old magnets, or buy magnets sheets at the craft stores. Just to make sure I was gluing to the right side of the magnets, I stuck them to my fridge and marked the right sides with a silver sharpie.

  10. Step 10 10

I cut this strip in half.

  11. Step 11 11

Added a little glue to the back. And stuck it to the back of jellyfish. I wold put the glue on the back of the cardboard. I noticed the glue dried really quickly if I applied it to the magnet first.

  12. Step 12 12

And your done. He's sitting on my bed post.

  13. Step 13 13

They may not be bats, skulls or even spiders, but they're still the cutest magnets ever! And I just have to wait four months till Halloween...
