I hope, wish, and pray to have a house someday

Yeah, I'd love my own house, with a garden, porch and balcony. *Falls off in to dream land - sigh*

I have a theory that we are given the voice we would hate to hear on someone else.
That way we never actually hear it. The sound from your own head is different due to it traveling through bone and tissue.

I've heard my voice and it's nothing what I sound like to me. I heard it on video when I couldn't see myself yet and was shocked to know that was me talking.

I wonder how actors feel about that then? Maybe thats why a lot of them say they never watch themselves on screen?!

Yeah maybe, I wonder if anyone actually likes the sound of their own voice?!

Like that guy who does all the cheesy movie preview voiceovers. What does he think of his own voice? (I guess he's probably making so much bank that he doesn't care!)

Oh yeah, I was wondering about that guy - do you think it's the same guy for all the movie trailers or do you think there are several guys with a similar sounding voice?

Also, the guy who does the voiceover on the Fabulous Life Of.. he has a pretty distinctive voice.

That movie voice guy is just one guy, Don Fontaine. And you are right, that guy has serious bank. I think he gets like 12,000 a movie or something. There are comedians I've seen that can copy him.
He did a funny video with all the other movie voice guys. There is a Disney guy, a tough guy, the black guy and a couple other ones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQRtuxdfQHw

Is that how he really sounds though? Maybe he puts it on a bit?

I hate the sound of my voice, I heard it when I recorded it on a tape recorder. I'm an Aussie and i sound like I'm this annoying little girl with an American accent, aargh!

I hate my voice. When my boyfriend rings me from his home phone he's got some weird set up where I can hear myself being slightly echoed and it's really offputting. I also hate seeing photos of myself that other people took and things. Bleh!

Ooh yeah, hearing your voice back on calls is really offputting. I hate transcribing interviews and hearing how stupid I sounded asking questions, I usually stop the tape and fast forward, just so I don't cringe.
