*Giggles* Yeah, it's a lot of fun. I like watching kids who get really into it and paint with two brushes hehe. Can't even talk but paints pretty well with two brushes hehe The weirdest thing thats been painted in my studio is a boob mug hehe

I'm hopeing to get off my lazy butt and hang some of my own paintings at my studio and try and sell them. I'm also trying to get other crafters to put their stuff in my studio and try and sell their stuff. But it's a pain to try and get artist to work with you >.> We're all so lazy hehe

I don't have a job right now, but I really need to get one to save me from being a poor student for the next forever Happy.

I used to work at Subway, and it was terrible.
The managers were unorganised (which was alright in a way because we got away with doing pretty much whatever we wanted to, but then it meant I never got my payslips - I found a huge envelope with them all in in the office when I left -_-). The kept mucking up the rotas as well - I turned up on Easter Sunday for my shift, then was told I didn't need to be there and my name wasn't on the rota. When I asked my manager what had happened he was like "You're meant to check the rota before your shift", which he didn't understand was impossible as I'd been ill the week before so wasn't in and couldn't get to the shop, and every other day I was out at college all day and, again, couldn't get to the shop. Idiot.
We had a really really busy 2 hours at the beginning of my shift, and it was absolutely frantic trying to get everything done. I lost count of the amount of times I burnt myself on the toaster oven when we were all rushing around >.<. But after the busy 2 hours were up, we had nothing to do for the rest of the day.
I spent most of my time washing up, doing food prep (taking all the food out of the bags it comes in and putting it all in the cambros... it was a disgusting job), sweeping the floor and cleaning tables. I tried to avoid making the sandwiches as much as I could, because it was hard to keep track of what everyone wanteed while at the same time doing everything fast enough. I preferred doing the till, but even that was a nightmare because obviously you can't scan the food, and there are so many different combinations of things and not enough time to put them all in.
To sum it up, working at Subway was a nightmare. Never again. And I warn everyone else to avoid doing the same! Tongue.

I'd love to work in a craft shop, I'm gonna go and ask in the few shops locally to me and hopefully they'll have a vacancy with my name on it Happy

Eew, I'd hate to work in Subway!

Work in a craft shop, just not HobbyCraft. They don't hire you if they know you craft (silly, isn't it?). The way I got my job is I handed in my CV last year when they didn't need anyone, then a year later they asked me if I was still looking haha. Not great for a quick fix, but most small craft shops will remember you if you come in a lot and seem interested

uurgh subway, i remember once in there this guy saying he only finished at 8pm when he'd been there since 8 am ON A SUNDAY! and I hate the way you have to order there it's intimidating!!! And when you dont want any salad or something they look at you like you just spat on them! I can't get anything from there now anyway...that sounds good.

That's so lucky KK i've never heard back from anywhere I've applied to like that!!!

I'm a nurse, actually a nurse clinical manager on a 26 bed med/surg unit. My very first job was a grocery bagger in the commisary when I was a young teen. Best thing for anyone going into nursing by the way is to start at the bottem. Work as an aid or transporter while in school, then you know what you're getting in to. I love the people I work with -nurses are tough, especially med/surg. They have alot of experience and also alot of heart.
I've worked fast food in the past, and I was also a waitress.

Ohh, that sounds amazing. You get to help save people's lives and you make a world of difference for a world of people! That'd be so amazing. Happy

Yea... subway is DISGUSTING! I have a .. aquaintence?... in my old psychology class, and he was telling me about how some guys in there spit in the foot, and they... "rape" the food. lol. a bunch of other grody stuff... PORT OF SUBS ALL THE WAY! lol

Haha no one did anything like that at the place I worked. As far as I know anyway :\
I never ate there, even though I got free food, because after working with it all day I couldn't stand the thought of eating it!
And yeah, the hours some people worked were completely stupid. One of the guys I worked with started at 6.15 some mornings when the deliveries came in, opened the shop at about 8, and he would only leave at about 4 in the afternoon. Crazy stuff.

I'd love to have a job where I could help people, being a nurse sounds like a really nice job (nice meaning that you'd get to make a difference and watch people get better, I wouldn't really be so keen on all the disgusting stuff haha).
I already volunteer at a club for adults with learning disabilities once a week and I really enjoy that, so I might find out if I can become a part-time support worker for people with learning disabilities who live in their own houses.

Izzy, that's really nice of you to help people with disabilities. My bother's disabled, he's got autism.

my auntie used to be a nurse and now i think she does soemthing like you beryl, when she was a nurse a patient escaped and she went after him and all the other nurses laughed at her for it!!! I would like to do something to do with the police or be an ambulance driver but at the moment it's dog grooming as you all know lol

my friend got a job in this new resturant (i applied but didn't get a job there, kinda glad) and there have been so many accidents, shes covered in bruises! but the management just laugh when they say can they write it in an accident book!

My boyfriend works with an autistic boy, he's Tim's friend's kid and Tim just works two days a week with him. It's a struggle though, he's twelve years old so it's getting to the point where he's becoming a teenager and things are gonna be a LOT more confusing than for any other teenager.

Yeah, my brother's 14 so he's at that sort of age as well. He doesn't understand things, like he doesn't understand why I can't be his girlfriend. It's quite sweet in a way, but at the same time kinda creepy and uncomfortable for me :\

Yeah it could get a little awkward. Apparently someone is gonna have to teach Max to masturbate fairly soon. It sounds weird, but it's confusing enough for any teenage boy, let alone one who can't grasp what he has to do from other people.
