Izzy, that is strange! My brother's 17, glad he doesn't want to be my girlfriend! lol My brother wouldn't understand things like that or be able to say that as he low functioning autism.

My brother's more high functioning. He understands most things, but there are some things it takes him a while to grasp. If it's something he's interested in, he'll have a perfect memory and remember loads of information about it, but if it's something he's not too bothered about then he just won't pay attention at all.
In his class they did a sex education type thing called Bodywise, and there was a test at the end of it. My brother got 30 out of 33, which I found quite funny because he never normally puts that much effort into learning anything as he'd rather be off doing something else haha.

yeah, my borther's the total opposite. he acts like a 5 year old. He can talk but usually it's just single words like 'milk' or bread'. He usually just says a mix of words he's heard on tv or from teachers and the like, some of the stuff he comes up with can be very funny at times!

Yeah apparently Max doesn't talk very much, he normally uses sign language but he does it so quicky that Tim sometimes can't grasp it. He's also really unable to make decisions, he wants to do everything at the same time and can't handle having to choose between things

Do either of them use PECs symbols? They're usually used by completely non-verbal people though so I don't know if they would. When I did work experience at my brothers primary school we did a lot of work with PECs as the students were non-verbal, and it really helped a lot because they could tell you what they wanted rather than you having to work it out yourself haha.
I did a course in Makaton a few years ago as well... Makaton is like sign language but it's used by children more I think. It was pretty fun, we had a video with nursery rhymes all sung with the Makaton being done at the same time. Sadly I can't remember any of it, the only 2 signs I can remember are biscuit and toilet (which are both highly useful Tongue)

Yeah it's Makaton Max uses. He also uses another thing, can't remember what it's called but it shows sounds?

Roy uses PECs a bit at school. The only sign he can do is for the toilet! which even though is only one, it's very handy! MY broither lives at my Dad's house most of the time and my Dad is fairly lazy so he doesn't use the PECs at home, which my mum gets pretty annoyed about. My mum is really busy and not with Roy except for every 2nd weekened so she can't really do it. What's Makaton?

Sign language, basically. The one where the vowels are each of your digits, so like A is your little finger.

oh I get it, Roy may have done that in school, the name of it sounds familiar....

I've worked in a few retail places, most recent was GAME a few months ago, and I thought they would be great to work for as I'm a gamer, I thought I'd get on with the staff and everything, but it turned out to be the worst job of my life. The work was okay, but the other staff were just awful.

Right now I'm trying to make my living by doing photography but looks like I might need to get a part-time temp job to carry me over winter!

it's hard being a girl! I think men still think they should be the bread winner, but I think it's important for both parents to bond with the kids and at least one of you can do that Happy

I was in a supermarket today and was gonna ask for a job but chickend out! I think I panic a bit because of my problem with maths and it's really degrading asking for a job but I'm gonna go round a few places tomorrow Happy I really need to work, I need a grand for that grooming course!!!

I always get freaked out if I have to do maths at work. At my old job, you scanned in everything and it told you how much it was, then you told it how much they gave you, then it tells you what you have to give as change. Now I have to count things (which is really hard when it's like a massive pile of beads ranging from 5p to like 48p), and work out the change!

uuuuuurgh I suppose you get better at it but I'd end up crying lol I wanna ask in the market, they don't have tills or if they do they don't have a scanner I'd just use a calculator I suppose. I might nip to tesco tomorrow or asda and ask for an application they might have jobs now!
