Lol, I do it all the time!

@josie Sometimes, but I'm used to it now. Most of the time it's used in a joke (I get some pretty comments/cartoon character references)

The other day someone threw a hat at me at the train station!
I'm not sure what provoked that - whether it was the hair or whether they were just 'that kind of person'. Hmmm.... I rest my case.

I've seen some really unique witch costumes but most are just black clothes, colourful hair, strange hat etc.

I don't know why halloween costumes mean so much to me. It's not really a big thing in my family... maybe I'm just a show-off, lol

@pinkweeds I LOVE the barbie idea! I've never liked barbie but I think it would make an awesome costume! If you do make the costume for halloween, I'd love to see pictures.

I'm making a costume for september so i may just use that, but ive never dressed up for it before, never even been allowed to trick or treat because according to my parents its "begging" and that's wrong.
I dont know anyone who dresses up or does anything for halloween anyway.
we just sit at home, pretend we arent there (or go to my granddads) and hope kids dont vandalise the house/car.
also we "celebrate" my parents wedding anniversary because they didnt realise they were getting married on halloween"

@jenny joking is okay but i know how you feel. I have weird hair too (mohawk) haha. People are just boring and narrow minded. Yeah i take halloween very seriously too and i want this one to be especially good becaise its my last one of high school.
@nikki i couldnt imagine not celebrating halloween. but ive known people who dont. Where do you live? In the US?

I'm thinking of going as some kind of elf this year, but full out with bow and arrow the ears and everything else. That or something really gruesome, and undead....but not sure about the gruesome part yet.

@Panda-Goes-Rawr : I was a hobo a couple years ago for a Halloween party. Apparently, my friend (who was throwing the party) was excited to see my costume and told everyone, so when I got there everyone was wanting to see me, "the hobo". That year at school I felt like everyone knew me only as "the hobo"! I don't regret it though. Everyone liked my costume the best. That was the first costume I ever made. I had brown elephant-ear type capris and a pink shirt. I sewed patches in both (shirt+shorts). I used brown makeup to make my shirt look dirty. I also used the make up to make my skin look dirty. I used red blush and red lip-balm to make an "open-wound" on my arm. I didn't know what shoes to wear, but I was a pirate the year before and I wore these shoe covers that looked like boots (hope you understand, so I wore those. It was awesome! Happy
Anyway, just thought I'd share.

So im glad that other people beside myself are already thinking up ideas for halloween costumes Happy

I was Blind Mag from Repo: the Genetic Opera last year. This year I'm going as a 'Rage' zombie from the 28 days / weeks later movies. I make all my costumes and do my own makeup/ prostetics.

I want to dress as something girly this year. Last year I was the Grim Reaper. I either want to be Minnie Mouse, a punk version of Harley Quinn, or a 90s girl (I just really want an excuse to get out my backpack purse).
