Do you cook / what have you been making?

Last night I made a vegetable soup in my slow cooker. I cooked it for 5 hours. Unfortunately that meant it was finally finished at 10:30pm and I couldn't really eat it fresh. But the plan was to freeze it anyway. It smelled really good. Happy

Day 2 of my vegetarian adventure involved me making Quorn-Meaty Rice.

I mixed together quorn fillets, quorn sausages, peas and onion with tomato and basil rice.
It was delicious and it made loads, so that's what I'm about to have for my lunch with toasted nan bread.

Thanks a lot, are you still a veggie? I don't see any reason for why I'd buy meat again - I've become an in-house vegetarian.

Well I went veggie at 13 for a year then at 16 with red meat and sliced meats, I mostly only ate chicken. The main reason the second time was a burger in Burger King..totally put me off meat when I looked at the actual thing! haha I think I went without eating red meat entirely for 2years then I just ended up gradually eating it again. I do eat a some vegan food now and veggie food, but I do love meat Happy

I've seen it made, but never tried it myself. Looks so good though... that beautiful sugary crust that hardens like candy on top... mmmmm. Any time you get to use a blowtorch in the kitchen will be a happy, happy time!

I did make it, but it takes a while to set, so I'll get to eat one later.

It took a while to work out which setting to use for the sugar caramelizing, but I had it perfect in the end. Mmmmm.

Last week I made tangelo cupcakes. Sweet, tangy and addictive. Next up I'm going to try lime cupcakes with cream cheese icing.

Ohh, those cupcakes sound delicious.

I've been trying to think up the perfect lunch snack all morning and I think I'm going to have a croissant topped with homous, pine nuts, lettice and sliced quorn.

I love prawns. Are Thai noodles like the clear rice noodles? Those are sooo good! Thai food is great, just very very spicy sometimes.

I've been eating Spaghetti and meatballs for the past 2 days so nothing new with me... :*(

...I'm broke.

I miss the really thick noodles that you get in Canada, all the noodles are a bit thin over here. I like my noodles to feel like your eating a plate of thick worms - sounds delicious, eh?
