Oil Pastel Crayons=How To

How do I seal these ? I got a box 50% OFF yesterday I want to us them for the Journal swap but want to seal the surface so it doesn't transfer to other pages= any hints?

You can buy a fixative spray from art shops though cheap hairspray does just as good a job and it's cheaperHappy

Yeah, that or acrylic sealer spray. of course I've never used hair spray, but it's a thought when I run out of my acrylic spray, so thanx ladies!

I actually had some Moab Desert varnish in my stash.It's a lacquer for sealing digital prints and seems to work jut fine-good news as I'm pretty allergic to hairspray

I never would have thought of hairspray. :O I'll have to test try that.

My favorite medium is oil pastels, but i usually never seal my art...i didnt want to risk it. I probably should tho, b/c i hate when it messes up.
My art teacher in college made us use cheap clear spraypaint to seal our oil-pastel projects. It worked perfectly! Happy
