How to clean clay off wood surfaces?

I started doing clay a few months ago and I used my wood lap desk for my projects so I didn't mind so much if the clay stained it or anything. BUT it's accumulated so much that it is starting to interfere with my work so I need to know any tips on how to clean dry sculpey clay off of wood surfaces. I've tried scraping at it and that doesn't work.

Oh, yeah. My mom used to clean her floors with vinegar. Also, it will clean out your guts. I'm not sure the amount you're supposed to drink though, so I don't suggest taking the whole bottle! (And I think it's apple cider vinegar you're supposed to drink.) Hmm...let me do some research.

Ok, I was gonna post helpful links to the apple cider vinegar thing, but there is so much information on it. Just google it! lol It's said to be good for almost any ailment. Even helps with weight loss.

lol I have enough issues with being "cleaned out" a little too much, to put it lightly. I had to start avoiding anything with fiber!
