Step 1Place the cheese, flour, mustard, butter, stout and Worcestershire sauce in a pan and heat gently until it begins to melt.

Step 2Stir the sauce constantly, stopping to taste and season to your liking.

Step 3Spread the tops of the bread with the sauce and sprinkle with some more cheddar.

Step 4Place under a hot grill and cook until the cheese begins to bubble and turn golden.

Step 5Serve with a few slices of pickle.
