finally got time to make a "how to" on my HP wands...
need to share credit with majann.deviantart.com hendoria.deviantart.com
two of my fellow geeks and very good friends :)
this is what you'll need
apply lots of hot glue to the chopstick
decorate with beads (or string, metal wire, stones, yarn... just make sure it doesn't melt whith the glue)
but be careful it's HOT! don't burn your fingers....
the glue is quite runny, so it will even out while drying....
if not, roll it between your hands when it's cold enough to touch.
now they are ready to be painted!
i used acrylic paint, but im sure any hobby paint will do
(this is burnt umber from galleria)
tadam! they're done...
now go discover your Patronus!
I love this! I always wanted to create my own wand and you helped! Thanks!
A very easy but effective way to make this! Cool idea, you can bet I'll be doing this whenever I pick up extra chopsticks!
I love these, by the way. I've made like 2 or 3. Thanks for the share!
woah that was easier than I expected it to be! Amazing idea!
Woooowwww !! Added to favorites ;)
OMG! It's perfect! I have to try *---*
Oh, thats so simple! I once carved myself a wand from a tree branch, but it took a long time! I might just try this...;) Thanks for the how-to!
OMG extra epic!!!
Wow, these are so cute! I once used a dowel and sculpey years ago and created Hermione's Wand. Took some doing, I must say, the intricate leaves and vines were not too hard, but I had to get them just right. (I can be a perfectionist sometimes) Now I am going to use this method to create the Deathly Hallow-The Elder Wand! Cool, why didn't I think of this sooner?
Also, I could not find a single bead, so I used bits of gravel and little pebbels. Worked well.
